Once Upon A Time!

This site was hacked as you may have seen so I am rebuilding it slowly, so please bear with me as I luckily had kept some of my original posts.
Thanks Paul Mara

Depressed! Who Me?

On the 16th of August 2011 I was diagnosed with “Clinical Depression” and put on medication.

Of course my comment was “No not me, maybe I’m just badly fatigued”, but as I continued to explain to the Doctor about my emotions of anger, anxiety, loneliness and sadness bought on by a very stressful past 2 years I realised he may be right.

I kept thinking but I’m the strongest member of my large family by far!

Its been more than 5 weeks (When I originally wrote this article) now and I am still struggling to come to terms with the diagnosis.

Then I thought maybe the best way to maybe come to terms is write about it and share my emotions and sentiments with the hope that it may help others who find themselves in a similar situation so this is my story.

Once Upon A Time – Before Depression

I thought this was an appropriate title to begin my story in the hope that maybe what I am about to share will help others.

Background

I have always considered myself to be self motivating and even though I didn’t realise it till a few years ago a strong believer of “The Law Of Attraction”.

I am one of those annoying people who goes into a full car park and gets parking easily, these are two of several qualities that I believe took me to becoming a millionaire twice.

The oddest thing is that I have never worried about money because I had a very simple formula, “Every day I will strive to be the best at what I do and the rewards will come”.

An example of that was in 1992 I was given a “Tip” of $3,000 which I wasn’t happy about taking because of the sad circumstances reluctantly I did and used it as I promised I would for my family as I worked at that time 7 days a week up to 18 hours a day and loved every minute of it.

The Rise and Decline

I remember when I was 9 years old and my Mum had just passed away I went to stay with some relatives for the school holidays and they live close to Mount Roskill a dormant volcano that looks more like a hill.
My friend and I would struggle to pull a sled to the top then enjoy the ride which seemed to be over so quickly, but we would struggle back to the top time after time just too once again enjoy those thrilling few seconds.

Success in life is exactly the same we struggle to reach a level of success that we personally enjoy then how quickly it can all slide away from us.

Depression – Slowly But Surely

Depression is so different from what I just discussed I wonder if you remember the song by the Troggs called “Love is all around” the lyrics go, “I feel it in my fingers I feel it in my toes love is all around me and so the feeling grows”, well the symptoms of depression are borne out of emotions, anger, anxiety and stress, as the words of the song say “and so the feeling grows” and all these symptoms increase at a very slow rate so they go unnoticed and creep up on you, that is until like myself a diagnosis is made.

Depression Free NaturallyAs I already mentioned I am really struggling to come to terms with the diagnosis and since I began writing I seem even more confused, luckily I have been far too busy helping my daughter shift house and cleaning the house before handing it back to think about it to much

Of course now I have slowed down I have felt some of the so called symptoms coming back, frustration, anger and loneliness.

I keep asking myself why, why, why?

I started researching “Depression” on the Internet and what I will be sharing in the future is some of the best information and guides I have found plus I will continue to share my experiences!

Some time before, I really needed to buy a good car for my corporation but I did not earn enough cash and couldn’t buy something. Thank goodness my sister proposed to get the mortgage loans at reliable creditors. Thence, I did so and was happy with my short term loan.
